Build for Education is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Corporation registered in the State of California, USA. The purpose of the Corporation primarily is to build education-related facilities, such as schools, libraries, and community centers in US and Nepal, and help such existing facilities. A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Jajarkot District, in the Western part of Nepal on November 3, 2023, killing 153 people and injuring at least 375, mostly children. This earthquake destroyed about 3,000 houses, and damaged about 5,000 houses, including schools. Please visit this Wiki page for additional information about this earthquake:

The site was visit in April of 2026. Based on conversation with the school Principal, education officials of the local municipality, and parents, this school desperately needs at least one new classroom building to replace the damaged classroom buildings, since the young kinds are currently being taught in the damaged buildings which are obviously unsafe.
Design drawings have been prepared.
Cost estimate of construction has been kindly prepared by the engineer of Barekot Rural Municipality.
